I had the great pleasure of practicing law with Ron for many years at Blakes. I remember the day when I first arrived at the Firm as a terrified articling student. Ron encountered me in the elevator, asked my name, and with that warm and welcoming smile that was his trademark, said how pleased he was to meet me, and wished me well at the Firm. I had many opportunities to consult him, and his advice was always thoughtful, analytical but most importantly, practical. As a fellow member, I encountered him at the Donalda Club, which he loved dearly. Ron was a superb human being and an inspiration in how to comport oneself as a professional. He will be missed.
