Honouring Your Sacrifice

At Humphrey Funeral Home A.W. Miles - Newbigging Chapel, we respect and honour the sacrifices made by those who have served in our armed forces and as peacekeepers around the world. Our debt to you is deep and abiding.

As your friends and family honour your life, the Canadian flag will fly at half-staff on the flagpole in front of our funeral home, the military flags of the armed forces will be displayed on the standards, and your medals will be showcased for viewing.

Acknowledging Your Valour

Too often after the death of a veteran, family members are left with a collection of medals and little understanding of their meaning.  We offer a unique service to veterans' families: we will identify each of your medals, provide information about the date of issue, campaign, and branch of service, as well as a detailed description of the medal, clasps, ribbons, and those who were eligible to receive the award. 

We publish this historical record with a colour picture of each medal in a personalized book that is presented to the family.  In this way, we help you ensure that your service to our country will be remembered by future generations.

Humphrey Funeral Home A.W. Miles - Newbigging Chapel offers a variety of preplanning and pre-payment options with a special savings of 15% for veterans (there are also many federal programs available).
