My condolences to Michael's family and friends. I met him back in 2006 when I was writing a book on Toronto's architectural sculpture. Of course, I included The Audience (at SkyDome... sorry, Rogers Centre). We talked about how his extensive photo documentation of that project would make an interesting book but he'd had no interest, which surprised me. I told him that the last chapter of my book offered a suggestion that with the decline in architectural sculpture, other forms of decoration might arise - and that's when he told me about his Windows Suite, the launch of which was going to occur about the same time as my book launch. He very kindly prepared a mock-up of the windows for use in the book. He was a creative whirlwind - I'm glad to have crossed his path.
