To Barbara and family: I was saddened to read of John's death. Many pleasant memories come back to me about the forty years I knew John. First as a client in the early 80's - followed by happy days at the bridge table and the years of early-morning golf outings at Rosedale. And even the quick chats more recently at The Teddington. John was an amazing friend over all those years. I always admired his business skills and he often taught me helpful life-lessons along the way. Jean and I will always remember him fondly. To the Hilliker Family, I did not know John well, as he was my parents age but his name was often mentioned. John and Barb were great friends of my mother Betty and would regularly go out for dinner, particularly for oysters on Mount Pleasant Ave. I knew John better through a Board that John suggested I join. While John was always in good humour, in a business meeting you always knew that we were dealing with serious business. John had a great business mind and an engaging personality. Anyone would be happy to work on his team. I am sorry for your loss, but I am happy that I knew John. He will not be forgotten.
