Obituary of Jeannette Anne Valeriote

VALERIOTE
(née JAROSZ)
February 1, 1935 – January 1, 2023
Following a brief illness, Jeannette, of Toronto, passed away at the age of 87 years.
She will be dearly missed by her sister, Ksavera Horlor, her step-children, nieces, nephews and their families, as well as by her many friends. Jeannette was predeceased by her husband, Roch; sisters, Stella, Josephine and Alfreda; her brothers, Teddy and Jerry; and her parents, Vera and Stanley.
Jeannette had many roles in her life. She was the youngest child of Vera and Stanley Jarosz;
sister to her six older siblings; an aunt, great aunt, and even a great-great-aunt; a loving wife,
step-mother, and step-grandmother; and a dear friend to many. Jeannette had a successful
career as a teacher and librarian. Her many interests included gardening, cooking, traveling and
the theatre. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
The family will receive friends at the Humphrey Funeral Home A.W. Miles – Newbigging Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville) from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Friday, January 27th. A service will be held in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 28th.
