It was a privilege knowing Yoli as a volunteer at Sunnybrook - one of my first memories when I started at Sunnybrook was meeting Yoli and her sister Eleanor. She was treasured for her dedication, calm nature, good humor.and warm smile. Such a life well spent!

Such a hard loss for all who knew her, even someone outside the family like myself. She was such an important part of the family and for all those that surrounded them, for so long.
She'll be missed in so many ways, so often, by so many of us; especially her family of course, even the rest of us she touched, right down to my son, at the wonderful cottage visits, and parties at 93 Dixon Ave.
Condolences to all, and best wishes for some kind of recovery from such a loss, but much satisfaction should be taken from such a wonderful life lived, in such a well-mannered and selfless way. I'll always try to remember her examples of kindness and friendliness to all, without ever showing signs of malice or bad-temper, ever that I saw.

I have so many memories of Aunt Yolie, but I will only name a few: as kids going north for the summer we all wanted to drive up with Yolie and her "lead" foot-we arrived sooner than my Mom! Yolie's desserts especially the chocolate pie! Yolie's annual water skiing. Her love to dance, her staying up late, her independence, and her love of life. Thank you for being part of my life Aunt Yolie. Love you & you will never be forgotten.
Sorry I can not be with you all at this time to support you, but I am in spirit.
PS shall we do a Plaque at the cottage "It would not be a summer if Yolie didn't........

Charles, Michael, John and Paul,
When I think of your Mom all the way back to spending many weeks at your cottage since I was 11, I think of a very determined, active, loving and devoted Mother. It is the end of an era of her generation of family and friends which included my parents,Johnny and Babe Ponesse.
You are all so blessed to have had your mom in your lives for so many good years.
Sorry we can’t attend.

Always enjoyed open conversations with Aunt Yolanda.
And when phoned my mom laid up with stroke but couldn't
talk, listening to me and last of her generation for a few
minutes. Afterwards that would continue with me until the
worldwide vaccines led me to nefarious conclusions later
2021 and the open conversations stopped. Just wasn't her
time anymore to deal with such matters.
So ...... she had greater peace not listening to me.
Condolences to my 4 cousins, who are also very open minded.
A tribute to their great mother and probably more, their Dad's
war time experiences, which I didn't know about for so long. A
great person also.
So ......

Can’t begin to describe what Yoli has meant to me and my wife Mei! Best way to describe it is she was like my second mother since 1976! Loved her immensely and will miss her always!
