Having attended both middle and high school with Brian, I visited the Whiteside home, as well as their cottage, many times over those years and became quite fond of Shirley and the rest of the Whiteside family. Shirley was a wonderful person who will be sorrowfully missed. My deepest condolences to the entire Whiteside family, especially to Howard and Brian.
