Igor,at The Sewing Centre we knew him as Ted.He was like a brother to me.Ted always had a project on the go,fixing something for someone.
He loved working on computers and computerized sewing machines.
For twenty years we worked together, and we continued to stay in touch after I retired.
I will miss him.
We want to extend or most sincere condolences to Mary and to all Ted's family.
Joe and Debbie Murphy.

Ted was a real original . Weather permitting he would generally be found sitting on his front porch or working in the garden . We would stop to have a chat three or four times a week as we passed the house . He was invariably cheerful and ready to share a story , anecdote , or information about what was happening in the neighbourhood . He was a master of every trade and there was nothing he could not install and no appliance he couldn’t repair . When sitting on the porch he would often be working on a computer or radio that was about to be discarded and he would always make it operational again . Many neighbours had the benefit of his knowledge and skill in addition to the pleasure of his company . We will really miss him . We want to extend our most sincere condolences to Mary and to all of Ted’s family . Bernie and Alex Birnbaum

Ted was like the unofficial third worker at the Sewing Centre store on Yonge street owned by Joe Murphy where I also worked.
He was Joe's right hand in dealing with all the issues of the computerized sewing machines and in helping fixing all kind of things at the store.
We could always rely and count on Ted to help us figuring things out. Numerous times, together with Joe he rescued my machines and saved me from getting all hyped up because of a malfunctioning of my machines.
Over the years we developed a good friendship and when the store closed I would often drop by at his place for a chat with him and Mary and hear how the gardening was going!
I'm very grateful I still had a chance to see him shortly after I came back to TO 4 weeks ago after being away for 2.5 years!
Again he helped me out with a computer issue without wanting any compensation for his work.
As usual we had good chats and good laughs!
He was truly one of a kind and I will always remember his generosity and unique personality !

Ihor was, without question, one of a kind. His coarse exterior belied his intelligence, inquisitive nature and his compassion for others.
He was my favorite uncle, forever remembered by me as a man who would give you the shirt off his back, food from his table all the while making off colour jokes about my mom.
Ihor was unrepentantly Ihor. Take it or leave it.
