Jay and I met Donna through Jay's friendship with Grant. Meeting the incredible woman who was the anchor to the Harrington family was a huge moment for us and one that cemented our relationship as life long friends but also connected our 2 families together for ever. We loved hearing the stories of her courtship and marriage to Grant and from that light her love of all their Children, their Spouses and their incredible Grandchildren. It was undeniable that her family was truly the core of who she was as a human being and what brought true meaning into her life. She also shared many stories of the many adventures in life she and Grant had taken together, including the Bison Ridge Orchard and her love for horses. Our own family spent several afternoons/evenings at their home sharing in her incredible generosity and spirit as Donna valued her "home" and being able to share it with all she loved. We were honored to see Donna before her passing and right up to the last possible moment she sat laughing with us and sharing how much she had loved each and every moment in her life.
Losing such an incredible person leaves a hole in ones sole, one that feels like you can never recover and/or fill it. Donna was a woman who left an impression but she would only want it to be one of joy and happiness. As such we will fill ours with love and memories and cherish the years we got to spend with her. Much love to Grant, all the girls and their families as they too find their strength to move forward. Love Kerrey, Jay (Aka-"Adorable"), Addison, Jake/Owen & Families.

My sincerest condolences to all family members for your great loss. Losing someone is always difficult, especially when they have such flare and a larger than life personality.
Some people, the instant you meet them, make a profound impression on your heart, Donna was like that. For me, my memory of Donna conjures up "old-fashioned goodness," with a persona of joy, to always push to be a better, more pure person. We sat together at our Christmas celebration, I still laugh when I recall our conversations and how Donna and I were just as outspoken. It is evident Karen got her generous, supportive, optimistic attributes and heart-felt laughter from her mom. In time, may the tears be replaced with memories that bring only smiles.

As much as Donna was a very loving, caring and giving person, she had a great sense of humor! Grant and Donna came down to Puerto Valarta to stay with us for a holiday a number of years ago. We met them at the airport and thought we would introduce them right away to the Mexican way of life. We hopped on a bus with all of their luggage and sat in the back seat. As the bus turned corners, Donna was sliding back and forth across the back seat of the bus and and was almost bouncing off the seat when we went over potholes - laughing the whole time! There are so many memories - wonderful overnight visits at their beautiful home, going to the Rolls-Royce convention in Pennsylvania and parties around the pool. Donna will be missed by many many people, but we are glad she is finally at peace. Love, Joni and George
