I remember Maxine from Oakwood, we were in the same class and were often seated one behind the other in alphabetical order as my name began with 'R'. We went the same way home and sometimes she invited me to her home after school, and once she came to our house for dinner. I remember her as funny and warm and engaging. We met up at Oakwood's 75th reunion where she proudly showed off a picture of her "handsome husband". I am glad to see she had such a close family so she will have had support in her final years.
