Dear Trudy, Heidi, Peter and Family,
We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Hubert. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this difficult time. The wonderful memories of Hubert will live in our hearts forever and especially for me as I remember the man who was my Godfather, and whose name I proudly bear.

We wish to express our deepest sympathy to Trudy and the Kinkartz family on the passing of Hubert.We first met the Kinkartz family in 1979 when we became neighbours in Scarborough and have remained close friends since that time and our young families grew up together. Hubert was a kind caring talented man and always used his knowledge and skills to help others whether it be family friends or neighbours. He loved his garden and was a great gardener.

As our beloved and respected neighbor, Hubert embraced us ever since we moved to this peaceful neighborhood. We remember many interesting conversations with Hubert, often in the early weekend mornings. Hubert shared many stories with us about the history of the local community and about his inspiring personal journey. Hubert never hesitated to offer his wisdom and advice, from how to care of the garden, to how to care of the family.
Rest in peace, Hubert. You will be living in our memory.

I will remember Uncle Hubert’s big smile and overnight visits in West Hill and how welcome I always Felt in the Kinkartz home. Uncle Hubert was a warm, generous, hard working family man and he will be missed.

Liebe Trudy, liebe Heidi, lieber Peter mit Familie,
wir sind so traurig mit Euch und betroffen über den Tod von Hubert. Erst vor etwas über einem Jahr durften wir ihn kennenlernen über FaceTime von Deutschland nach Toronto. Nach vielen Jahrzehnten gab es eine Familien Zusammenführung durch unsere gemeinsamen Vorfahren. Wir sind so froh, dass wir ihn noch kennenlernen durften und ihn erleben, als der liebe Mensch, der er war. Wir sind in diesen Stunden der Trauer ganz nah bei Euch. Wir lassen alle eine Hand los, aber nie den ganzen Menschen. Fühlt Euch gedrückt und umarmt.

Uncle Hubert always struck me as a kind soul completely in love and dedicated to his family.
He always instilled Heidi and Peter do their very best. His legacy lives on in his children’s success and kindness.
I see Hubert’s sweet smile in his children’s and grandchildren’s faces ..... Those lovely genes run deep :)

Hubert was our delightful neighbour for many years. We had interesting conversations and listened intently to his many stories. Hubert’s love for his family was boundless and, even after moving out of the family home, he took care of Trudi from a distance. Rest in well earned peace, Hubert. We will miss you, our dear friend.
