Andrea Peace

Obituary of Andrea Maureen Peace

Andrea passed away on September 19, 2021 after a short battle with brain cancer
(glioblastoma). She is survived by her husband and soulmate Kenneth Peace; daughters, Rhea
and Kirra; sisters, Diane and Sandra; brother Michael; grandchildren, William and Bentley, as
well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Stanley and
Geraldine Walsh.

Andrea was born at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Toronto, Ontario. She grew up in Georgetown
and attended local schools until she went to University of Toronto and graduated with a
Bachelor of Arts for Urban Planning in 1978.

In 1979, Andrea was working at the Banff Park Lodge as a Front Desk agent where she met
her soulmate Kenneth who was also working there as a Sous Chef. It was love at first sight. A
year later, they were married and moved to Victoria, British Columbia. They spent two years
there prior to travelling to Australia, where they worked for a year. Before returning to
Canada, they toured the South Pacific.

Andrea had a successful career in the hospitality industry. She joined Four Seasons Hotels
and Resorts in 1983 after her return to Canada. She dedicated her work to the company for 38
years without retirement. Throughout Andrea’s career, she travelled to numerous global
properties and enjoyed her FAM (familiarization) trips. Some of her favorite destinations
were Maui, Nevis, Punta Mita, Costa Rica, Budapest, Florence, Paris, and Prague. Andrea
loved Four Seasons and always lived by the company's philosophy, The Golden Rule; treat
others the way you want to be treated. Andrea welcomed her colleagues and superiors every
day with a radiant smile and she was always caring and kind towards her peers.

Above all, Andrea Peace was a kind, compassionate and selfless human being who lived her
life with unconditional love for her family, friends and colleagues.
