Elizabeth Ethel (Betty) Franks (neé Swash)

March 13, 1927 – June 28, 2021

Elizabeth Ethel (Betty) Franks passed at 94 years of age last Monday morning in Palliative Care at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.  Wife of Robert (Bob) Franks (deceased), Mother to her beloved sons, George and Edmund, Mother-in-law to Maria and Cori, Grandmother to her treasured Taryn and Lindsay. Grateful to her extended family of Tess, Sen and Nieves.

It is with heavy hearts that we bring you our thoughts and memories of our Mom, Betty.  A Pharmacist, graduating UofT Class of '49, she was a pioneer as the class was all men returned from WWII and only 6 women. She worked in her field up until the 1990's and enjoyed reuniting with her women classmates every few years. Married to her Bob, our Pop, for 64 years until his passing in 2015.   She will be sorely missed by family, friends and neighbours.  Dementia began its cruel work over 10 years ago, yet she retained her long-term memories and knew who we were right up to the last days. Bye, Mom.  Condolences may be forwarded through www.humphreymiles.com.
