Margit Ronge

Obituary of Margit Ronge

In Memory of

Margit Ronge

September 26, 1944 – June 22, 2021

Margit, passed away Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at the age of 76.  She was predeceased by her loving husband, Alajos Ronge.  Loving mother of Christina (Rob).  She leaves behind many friends and relatives from Canada and Hungary.

Cherished aunt to Cathy (Al) and son, Max; Peter; Beata and sons, Adam and Luke; Kathy and son, Liam. Beloved brother to Gyuszi, his daughter Csilla (Csaba), their son, Oliver, and his daughter Judit.

Second mom to childhood friends Moni, Julika and Tiffy

Best friend of 50+ years to Eti and Imre Pozsgay and “second” daughter Judy (Chris) for their continuous love, support, and homemade meals that mom loved so much. We are forever grateful.

She was a trouper through her six-year battle with Alzheimer’s disease. As with everything she did, she approached life with love, grace and compassion for others, not to mention her love of shopping which she has graciously passed on to her daughter Christina “Szuki”.

Mom was the kindest person ever, compassionate, she was always smiling and willing to help others. She loved her garden, cooking and feeding everyone. She was the most amazing pastry, food, everything chef. A master of numbers and a fashionista with her late sister Ibi (late husband Zoltan).

Special weekends at the cottage on Sweets Lake with friends and family. Card nights until the wee hours of the morning playing Gin Rummy, gathering enough “pennies” for special dinners out. The fishies of Sweets Lake looked forward to left overs, no wonder they were so plump!

Many special moments shared watching her team, the Leafs and “The Big Bad” Bruins (not her team), Y&R and Judge Judy with Olive (Fur Grandbaby) in her lap keeping her warm.

She will be missed by many…

Special Thanks to her caregivers over the years from VHA, Kristine, Alisha, Ann, Jean and Rebecca, and many thanks to her doctors for helping with her care throughout the years.

Due to continued Covid restrictions a private funeral has been arranged for invited guests. A Celebration of Life for Margit will follow at a later date.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada. Condolences may be forwarded through www.humphreymiles.com.
