It was always my pleasure to have Eileen and her buddies (she had many!) join us for yoga class over the past 10 years. What a lovely, kind spirit with a big smile and zest for life. She would come to my classes armed with all her cozy blankets, pillows and neighbourhood buddies and stories of her travels, golf games and cats. Love, hugs and encouragement to her friends, family and all that had been touched by her kindness and warmth. Much love, Joanne Lowe

I can’t believe that a good friend is gone. I worked with Eileen when she was responsible for our Community Care Access Centre. Eileen was very competent, highly respected and liked by all. Eileen had a wonderful sense of humour and an infectious laugh. I will miss Eileen. I am grateful to have known her. Thank you Eileen. Peter

My condolences to Eileen's many, many loved ones as you grieve the loss of this incredible lady. I knew Eileen because of Sprint for Seniors and have continued to connect with her every few months since 2012. In that time, I delighted in hearing about her passion for her work as a nurse, her sense of adventure about her travels, her joy in golfing with friends, her volunteering in politics and on boards, her friendships with several special cats :) and the many people she poured her love and nurturing spirit into whether they be friends, neighbours or family. I told her at one of my last visits in Jan 2021 that everything about her inspired me to be better. I feel richer for having known Eileen and will dearly miss her. Colleen Beattie, East York
