On behalf of the 2017/2018 Memory Ball committee we give our sincerest condolences to the Callaghan family. Lisa was such a wonderful addition to our team and radiated such positivity. She was fun loving, outgoing and such a caring person to be around. With her event planning background and drive to help people in need she added such value to our team. She was a key player in assisting us in raising over $100,000 for the Alzheimer Society of Toronto. She will be greatly missed by all of us on the committee.

I was fortunate enough to briefly know Lisa through co-hosting Memory Ball. In every encounter she was completely sweet, cheery, warm, giving, and patient. She gave you her full attention when you spoke and carried herself beautifully. I'm heartbroken to hear of her loss, I will forever be grateful for the time and energy she gave to a cause so close to my heart and the world will undoubtedly feel her absence. I am carrying her loved ones and those who loved her in my heart, your grief is unimaginable and I hope that in these especially difficult times, you find comfort in the shared weight of that deep grief representing such deep and big love. To Lisa's Dear Family,
Lisa worked for me and the Special Events team at the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation as an intern when she was just starting out of school. She was a delight to work with - so much energy and great ideas. She helped on many of our events.
Most notably, we worked together on the Breastober Campaign and she was the main contact for the celebrity photo shoot and subsequent social media program. She did an amazing job promoting that campaign - always positive, always energetic and a real star.
I was so sad to read about her passing in the newspaper.

Lisa had a magnetic personality and an infectious laugh and smile. She was fun-loving, out going, smart and beautiful. While we drifted apart in the last few years, I will always remember many good times that we had together including hanging out in the Anderson's backyard in the summer after grade 12, Lisa becoming an honourary BSS girl and coming to BSS events like grad school skip day and semi formal, Lisa dancing around our kitchen in Halifax making pancakes and listening to the song from beetlejuice.

Lisa was a real inspiration and mentor to me as a GBC camper and at St Clements. Her belief and support that I could be a leader at camp and school gave me the confidence to strive out of my comfort zone to achieve things I didn't think possible. Lisa was strong and sensitive in the truest sense of the word, she listened and felt the little things that most of us don’t hear. She listened and responded to the macro problems of the world with her decision to dedicate her working life to hospital fundraising and humanitarian efforts. On a personal level, she made us feel deserving of her full attention and had a way of reading so much more than our words. If life is measured by feelings of empathy, love and thoughtfulness, she has lived more than most of us could hope for in a thousand lifetimes.
Lisa was deeply sentimental and would save theatre ticket stubs, photos, mementos from special occasions and even risked getting separated from our group during a scuba trip to get a shell from the bottom of the ocean to paste into beautiful leather-bound memory books to give loved ones. Lisa’s positive energy was contagious. She loved live performances and would often request Bruce Springsteen songs because it reminded her of her father. Lisa positively influenced everyone she spent time with and taught us all lessons in caring. Lisa, you brought me so much joy and I thank God that I have these mementos and memories. I will cherish them forever.
In a world where most people pride themselves in their collections of material things, Lisa took tremendous pride in her ready to go reserve collection of hand drawn/painted and hand written cards she held on standby, just in case someone needed an impromptu message of support or love. She felt the same way about her collection of extra souvenirs she saved from her various humanitarian trips to Africa, for anyone she had forgotten (or in some cases yet to meet), adding to her little arsenal of love. She is an angel now with a whole new set of tools for making the world a better place. Lisa will always be remembered with love.
