My deepest condolences to the Turnbull family, for the loss of a wonderful woman. There truly are no words to express how saddened I was to hear of Noreen's passing. I pray you find the strength in her memories to help you cope through this very sad time. I admired Noreen's passion in caring for the children she worked with. Noreen, you truly will be missed! I am so blessed that I got a year of working with you, you were so passionate about being an ECE and that was something I loved about you most. You treated your children with so much love and you made sure each one was given the attention they needed to be their best selves.
I will always remember and cherish our mornings on bus duty together. You always came out in the morning with your infectious smile and exchanged stories about your loving family and how life was beautiful and how lucky we were. You are going to be missed so much!

Noreen, you will be truly missed by not only Zena but the rest of our family. The service was beautiful and you would have had that infectious smile on your face hearing all the beautiful words that truly reflected who you were. You made Illija and I feel like family from the first time we met and from then on it was always a pleasure to see you. You will always remain in our hearts. If you knew Noreen you knew of great love and passion. My family and I were blessed to have been a part of her life. Noreen always brought laughter and joy...and some spice too,which I loved.
I know we are all in shock and sad now. But as I think of all the amazing memories we have had together through these years I am reminded time is precious and to not take a single moment for granted.
I am forever thankful for your love and friendship. I am thankful for your gift of humor. I am thankful for the many memories that will make me smile on the hard days where I just want to talk to you.

She made me feel welcomed when I first started work at Floradale and she always welcomed me into her classroom when I came in to support the special needs students. I met Noreen at Eldorado public school. We were part of the Kindergarten team. We planned a trip for the Kindergarten students together. It was a pleasure working with Noreen. She was the most genuine person I knew. She was always positive about life. Noreen and I shared a few insight jokes and shared some good laughs together.

I had the pleasure of knowing Noreen for a year at Floradale. She had an infectious smile and laugh and brought so much joy to the staff and students she worked with. I worked with Noreen at Eldorado Public School. We were part of the Kindergarten team. Noreen and I planned a trip together for our Kindergarten team and it was sooo much fun doing that with her. I worked with Noreen at Chris Hadfield Public School in the kindergarten team.
I feel so lucky to have known her. Noreen had a wonderful sense of humor.
I remember most how Noreen spoke of her family - her daughter's Hannah and Emily. On occassion we would meet up to walk in High Park. I think back to those times fondly.
I was saddened to hear of Noreen's passing.

My name is Sharmila, I worked with Noreen at Floradale. Noreen was an energetic and passionate educator with a wonderful sense of humour. Noreen had an infectious laugher that would put anyone at ease. In 2018, we had a busy year with two special kiddos who kept us on our toes, Noreen was always on the look out and up for the challenge. She always celebrated the uniqueness of each child and made them feel special. The children especially liked her yoga sessions, they had a laugh doing the “rag doll”. I remember the great time we had, laughing so hard as we spent hours decorating our classroom wall just before Open House. Noreen loved picture books, she especially loved reading Todd Parr books to the children. I will forever cherish the memories that we had together. She had a beautiful, warm, kind heart and was very accepting of people from all walks of life. She was always encouraging and had so much to share to help others.

Noreen and I didn't know each other very well, we only worked together a short time at Floradale. In a short time, I learned that she had a great personality and loved her students! I was fortunate enough to have known Noreen, albeit for a short amount of time, at Floradale. Once in a while, life will introduce you to someone who you will truly feel honoured and blessed to have crossed paths with. For me, Noreen was one of those people. I was lucky enough to meet her through work and her engaging and energetic spirit left an impression on me immediately. Lunch breaks were full of loud laughter, with Noreen usually the one doing the entertaining. Her warmhearted way with her students every day in the classroom and her venturesome outlook on life made her someone someone I admired greatly. I will forever feel like one of the lucky ones who got to call Noreen a friend.

I was a teacher at Eldorado with Noreen and spent a period a day in kindergarten with her. She was always smiling, always positive and had an infectious passion for creating wonderful spaces for those little people in her care to grow and learn and thrive. So many young students can credit her for such a positive start to their school careers! She will be greatly missed!
