Of all the Aunt's in the world she was mine. I got lucky. I remember I liked everything that she gave me when I was a child because everything was so colourful whether she gave me candies or clothes. She knitted a red jacket for me with a white deer on the back and she did this with love. There was an excitement about her, a certain zest that said, " Hey, I'm here! Now, let's have some fun." She was a wise woman and her keenness to observe before speaking was one of her many attributes. She always knew what to do in a situation. I love her so much and not from an aspect of what she did for me or gave me but because she was willing to take out the time for me when I needed to talk. Gracious, loving, caring, that's my aunt and I will always love her. Rest in peace, Aunt V. I will always love you. Kerry-Lee

Vera was the most incredibly giving and loving woman. She was the best grandmother and always wanted to make sure everyone was happy and taken care of. She loved her little dogs, makeup, nice clothes, sweets, having tea every morning, and laying in the sun with her big sunglasses on that everyone knew her by. But most importantly she adored her family members. She will be greatly missed by everyone in her family. She lived a beautiful life.
