I will always remember and cherish my times with David who I knew from birth. I am very close to the Joyce-Adams family and felt that I finally had a nephew. He was a complex guy - a genius with computers from inside to out as well as a software designer. He really blossomed from building his own pc’s in High School to senior IT specialist. He had a great sense of humor. When I visited Toronto, he was a regular movie and dinner mate as well as the late drink. He helped to keep me young. He had a lot of energy and was always so helpful to me as a techno-peasant. Even after I had gone to the Dark side from David’s viewpoint (Apple products), he would rescue me from my IT misadventures.
While I’m sad and miss him, I feel very lucky to have had David as part of my life.

Growing up with David was a privilege - he was always so kind hearted in nature, and I always had such a great time with him, Katherine and my brother Johnny. I couldn’t wait to go over to ‘Katherine and David’s, as they were like family to me. I was lucky enough to re-connect with David over social media in 2018, and we had a lot of great laughs. Even though I hadn’t seen David for years, I was deeply saddened to hear about his accident in September of 2019, and I’m absolutely devastated by the news of his passing. His talent and passion for technology, intellect, and kindness will forever be unmatched. My heart goes out to James, Linda, Katherine and Megan. May David Rest In Peace. I will always miss him and will never forget his infectious laugh.

We are deeply saddened by the death of a David Joyce. Our family are close friends to the Joyce family, and my kids were close friends of David from the time he was a young child and spent lots of time together whenever we got together for dinners and Halloween trick or treating. David was a very smart polite inquisitive child. He loved to go out trick or treating and was always joyful and friendly to our family. He was a wonderful babysitter to my son and I had many interesting conversations with him. He was a young Bill Gates who always impressed us, yet he was very modest about his wonderful abilities.
