Obituary of James Paul Robinson

James Paul Robinson
1979-2019

James was a software engineer, avid gamer (and developer) and loyal friend. James was born in
Nottingham England, and moved to Montreal, and later Hamilton, and Toronto. He worked for a
number of software and video game companies over the last 20 years.

James had a fantastic sense of humour and quick wit. He also loved a good pint and his regular
online meet-ups with his gaming friends.
He was most proud of becoming a father and loved to cook, read, draw, and play games with Oliver.
He was kind and gentle in teaching Oliver and in instilling a sense of curiosity and passion for science
and discovery.

He leaves behind his loving wife Amanda Grenier and son Oliver, parents Paul (Sue) Robinson and
Beryl (Ade) Lawrence, and bother David (Hayley) Robinson.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Humphrey Funeral Home, 1403 Bayview Avenue Toronto. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a fund for Oliver (amanda.m.grenier@gmail.com)* or to a men’s health charity of choice.

He left this world way too soon and will be dearly missed by family, friends, and the cats (Alice and
Lewis).
