JAMES BLACKWELL STRATTON

 

James Blackwell Stratton, 75, of Toronto, Ontario passed away on Monday, January 21, 2019. Beloved father of Geoffrey and David; a grandfather; and brother of Sonia Ryerson. He will be fondly remembered by extended family and friends.

 

Jim was a proud alumnus of Trinity College School, University of Toronto, and Osgoode Hall.  He practiced law in Toronto with Fraser, Mean, and Stratton; Borden and Elliott; as well as an independent practice. 

 

A kind and generous man, Jim gave of himself to his community through active participation.  He was a long-standing usher and head usher at Timothy Eaton Memorial Church, a founding member of the Canadian Council of the Blind Visionaries, Toronto Chapter, and a contributing member of the Blind Sailing Association. 

 

He loved skiing, sailing, reciting poetry, telling stories and watching his boys play sports.
