Dear Vickie:
David & I are shocked and deeply sadden to hear of Peter's passing.
How can Pete be gone??? ..... That mischievous twinkle in his eye......
We have been reminiscing and shedding tears. He was such a terrific guy.
I can barely imagine how you, your children and grandchildren will miss him.
It is with a heavy heart that we are caught in a blizzard and unable to see you at today's service.

Such great memories of Peter during my days at Wittington Investments, alway so pleasant to work with and to share a laugh! - not to mention the many Christmas parties we enjoyed together at Roger Lindsay's place. Oh Peter, What happened, man? Devastated to read this so saddening news. This closes a chapter that read for years and years. I will miss Peter's wonderful disposition, his humor, his jokes, and his solid real estate advice.
We will always remember with a smile your visits to our homes in Muskoka and Arizona, and our visits to your sanctuary on the ocean in PEI.
But not to forget our mutual love of Corvettes and always talked about a "drag" race up near Everview.
Alas we put it off too long and now will assume it would have been a tie.

My condolences to the Barnicke family,
There were so many great times with Peter through the JJ Barnicke years to the more recent DTZ/CW years. The Barnicke weekend in June was always a highlight for me from moving rocks at Pete's cottage with Joe 'directing' us to Peter hosting the nights party.
We went through some rough business times during the various DTZ owners and it was Peter's loyalty, character and generosity that helped keep the team together. We had 'Pete's corner' at the office where on many a Thursday night we'd wind down with a drink and hear Pete's stories.
Pete was genuine, he treated everyone equally and I'll forever miss his welcoming smile ever time he greeted you.

My sincere condolences to you and your family. Peter was a wonderful person, so much more to me than a business colleague helping me to carry out real estate deals at BMO and BMO Nesbitt Burns.
