Oh my gosh. Peter- our thoughts are with you. El was one of the best. Like my big sister in the 50's at Lac Ouimet. My mom's best friend at IAC in Toronto was Isabel so Elinor and Cathy were almost family.
Family and friends were her strength. The best to you, Brock and M-L .

Dear Peter and family,
I was saddened to hear that Elinor has passed away. I haven't seen Elinor for some time, but have fond memories of our shared Junior League days and Fairgains years. Elinor was always a committed member of any group she worked with over the years, bringing her always positive approach and good humour.

What a beautiful summary of Elinor's life. I was privileged to be a small part of that life. My sympathy goes out to all of you as you absorb the finality of this long road, well travelled. Regretfully, we are unable to attend the celebration of Elinor's life, but will be with you in spirit, as I fondly remembering lunch on the Golf Club balcony with Elinor (among many other fond memories of years past). Peter: While Diana and I were aware of Elinor's challenges , her passing is no less of a shock. We were all aware of years of treatments...the highs and lows...more of the latter in her case.
Her story, like many of ours, is that of a small caring country. You may recall that she and Diana were in classes together in Toronto and she of course completed her high school education with my sister et al in Montreal.
She was a terrific woman widely respected here and at University Park.
May you and your family be able in due course to reflect on many wonderful years together.
