Obituary of Calvin Dan Kohne

CALVIN DAN KOHNE

October 31, 1935 – October 27, 2018

 

 

Great-grandfather, grandfather, father, husband, uncle, son, brother, Firefighter, Union Leader, Key Grip, teacher, friend and an all-around, outspoken and opinionated character.  Dad has passed away peacefully, in his sleep At Bridgepoint Active Health Care, Toronto, surrounded by his loved ones. 

 

He will be missed by all who knew him, but, particularly, by Rosalilia Masferrer Carballido Kohne, his wife and partner of 18 years; as well as his loving children, Jimmy, Michael, Jay and Sharon; their mother, Maureen Shannon; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.  Dad leaves behind a family that extends across the country and around the world. 

 

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff at Bridgepoint Active Health Care, 4 North, especially the nurses.

 

The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES – NEWBIGGING CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 4th followed by a service in the chapel at 4:00 p.m.

His stories can be found in the memories of so many people that he touched and touched him along his life’s’ path.  He lived the life he wanted, regardless of the consequences, and to the amazement of so many, he lived a long life . . . He is off to see Jack and John, and he has some explaining to do.
