I was one of the founders/owners of Sunquest Vacations. I was introduced to Phyllis by Robin and Joel all the way back in the latter part of the 70’s.
Phyllis agreed to take care of bringing and arranging fresh flowers on a weekly basis at our offices on Merton Street and she did this for close to 20 years I would say.
I loved Monday mornings. It was a treat to see Phyllis and to smell the fresh flowers she brought and arranged in various containers so beautifully. I was always in awe of the many exotic flowers unknown to me and Phyllis always shared information about them with me. She too was very excited about so many beautiful flowers and made them even more so in her very creative arrangements. I know that she took special care to ensure I had something special each week on my desk.
We also had lovely and interesting chats about many things, not the least, her latest trip. She went to so many interesting places and always saw things with a lovely sense of humour.
I missed Phyllis when she no longer came to our offices. No one could replace her.
I did see her occasionally here and there and then have not for some years now.
I am pleased she lived a good long life. She was truly a wonderful person and I was very fond of her.
