Fondly remember Sarah from my days of working as Activity Director at the Lodge. Her pleasant and friendly caring manner, and always a good sense of that down-east humour. A “blessing “.

Sarah, I will miss you very much. I can just picture you laughing so hard at things that George had done and trying to keep your composure. You were there for me when my Dad passed as my Mum was living out in Alberta. You gave me comfort in my time of need. I know your frustration in these past couple of years but you always managed to smile and laugh. You are at peace now and are with George and the rest of your family. God has received another angel. You were a wonderful Mother-in-Law and I couldn't have asked for a better one. Rest in Peace Sarah. I'll miss you.

I am so sorry for this loss. Aunt Sarah was always laughing and giggling when she told her funny stories about Uncle George. And there were so many of them! It was always a fun time visiting in their home.
The one memory of Aunt Sarah that sticks out in my mind over all these years was when we were coming home from a trip to the cottage. Having stopped at the roadside for something to eat, Uncle George fired up the Coleman stove and heated up a can of beans. What a windy day! Almost immediately after paper plates full of beans were set down in front of us kids at the picnic table, a wild wind scooped up one of those plates and whirled it up in the air. We watched in amazement as it danced up high for several feet, then made it's landing right on Aunt Sarah's head. The look of astonishment on her face is one that I will never forget. We couldn't help but laugh, more because of having watched the crazy path of the plate in the wind, and for it to actually land on a target was too much to take in.
Poor Aunt Sarah, thought one of us kids was cheeky enough to throw the plate of beans at her .My mother, also laughing in amazement, she had seen the plate flying as well, assured her it was the wind, for once we kids were innocent of the shenanigans.
Beans dripping off of her nose, Aunt Sarah broke into laughter with the rest of us.
She had such a good sense of humor.
Also comes to mind, the kindness and sincerity in her voice, her willingness to help out in any situation, and her care and concern for others.
God Bless you Aunt Sarah. I love you very much.
