Obituary of Mona May Piper
PIPER, Mona May
Mona passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Sunnybrook Palliative Care Centre in her 89th year. She was predeceased by her loving husband Leonard Piper and son Alan Piper. She was a wonderful mother to Alan (Christine), Ann and John; a strong, caring and loving grandmother to Michael, Stephen, Cherie, Jason, Jenn, Paul, Rob, Ben, and Adam; great-grandma to Kyla, Spencer, Madison and Hayden. A pillar in her community, Mona was the longest serving crossing guard in Toronto -- 44 years! Her presence will be sadly missed by the generations of Maurice Cody Public School students she crossed. Mona will be remembered for her infectious smile, loving personality, words of encouragement, and quick wit.

A memorial service will take place on Saturday, February 10th at 11:00 a.m. in ST. CUTHBERTS ANGLICAN CHURCH, 1399 Bayview Avenue. A private family burial will take place at a later time.
