Obituary of Juan Manuel Rodriguez
JUAN MANUEL RODRIGUEZ
June 26, 1952 – January 20, 2018
On Saturday, January 20th, Juan passed away. Juan was born in Spain, and came to Canada in 1971. He worked as a flight attendant, and during this time also started his second career as an interpreter for the IRB and the courts.
After he retired from Air Canada, Juan became more involved with interpreting and was in demand for many immigration and criminal cases. He became president of Imintera, (Immigration Interpreters Association) and was very involved with helping independent interpreters. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES – NEWBIGGING CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 30th. If desired, donations can be made in Juan’s memory to the National Ballet of Canada, 470 Queens Quay West, M5K 3K4.
