Dear Poirier family
We just found out about the passing of your wife and mother and are truly saddened by your loss. Vicki was always such a bright light at our CALJ conferences and as spouses of the working crew, loved our times together of wining and dining and our cooking, pole walking, hiking, adventures in the pre conference and spousal activities. We truly had such fun! I, Viv, particularly gained a new friend (and client!) with whom I went walking in Toronto and whom I was always looking forward to seeing in February and June at conferences. She was a brave, courageous woman who inspired us with her positive attitude throughout her challenges. We know that she is in peace now and not suffering and we send our love to you all.

Steven: I just learned of this sad, sad news last night. Moira and I send our deepest condolences to you and the girls. We truly enjoyed knowing Vicki during your time in Saint John. The afternoon Book Club of the Canadian Federation of University Women-Leaside-East York so enjoyed having Vicki as a member for the few years she was able to attend. We understood what a gruelling battle she was waging, how she wanted to be there for her family and how courageous she was in the face of diminishing odds. She obviously loved books and provided insightful comments and great book suggestions. We have missed her participation and will remember her with fondness.

Steve, Carolyn and Christine. Our hearts ache for the loss of such a wonderful person, amazing wife and mother . I was so saddened when my daughter Alyse shared this with me. I remember such wonderful times when the girls were young ( in Oakville ) and Vicky and I spent time together. She even got me involved in Tennis ! . Cherish the memories . My heartfelt condolences to you, Christine, Carolyn and Steve on the death of your Mum, and wife Vicky.
Although our paths seldom crossed after moving from Oakville, the time our children were growing up together across the street were precious.
She loved being your Mum and the challenges and rewards of parenting.
The smiles and laughter your Mum freely gave will always be remembered.
I was saddened to meet your Mum a few years ago at PMH where we were both being treated. I understood her journey and often thought of her.
Hang on to those special memories and the wonderful person she was.
