Obituary of David Oborne

DAVID EDWARD OBORNE

David passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 with his wife Kathy by his side.  Predeceased by his parents, James Ross and Elizabeth (nee Boyde) Oborne and infant brother John.  He will be greatly missed by his wife Kathy, his brother Jim, his sister Lynn and his children John and Tracy (King) and grandchildren Grace, Dylan, Matthew, Ryan and Emmerson and many nieces and nephews.  Before retiring, David spent his career in the investment industry, working with Nesbitt Thomson for over 40 years.  A great listener and mentor to his friends, David (Toad) enjoyed his beloved cottage and the Blue Jays.

Friends will be received at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES – NEWBIGGING CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 3, 2018.  A short visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2018 followed by a memorial service at 1:00 p.m.  There will be a reception upstairs in the Rosedale Room following the service.
