My wife and I would like to say how sorry we are to hear of David's passing. As a friend of his son John, Mr Oborne treated myself and John's friends with a lot of respect and gave some of us our first taste of the business world. We'll all miss him.

I am so sorry to read about David’s passing.Obie was a great friend and partner. We had some great times together running the Private Client Side of Nesbitt Thomson. David was always quick with a quip or funny comment. My condolences to Kathy and his family I regret that I am out of the country and cannot pay my respects in person

I extend my deepest condolences to David's family. In 1978 David hired a young consultant to teach Nesbitt Thomson staff the art of interpersonal communication. David was a valued client for over 20 years and will always be remembered as a warm, irascible guy with a very warm heart.

I'll always be grateful for the many kindnesses Dave and the Oborne family extended to me during my days at McGill. And I'll always remember the crazy, good times we shared during our misspent youth.
