I am so sorry to hear of your loss, and it *is* such a great loss.
I met Judy through Doug Peters, and our friendship grew after he died. Somehow I missed the news of her passing before the holidays, and worried we hadn't been in touch for some time, knowing that she was in real discomfort the last time we spoke.
She was so beautiful in her deep love for Doug, and so refreshingly honest and real about what mattered to her. One of the kindest and optimistic people you could meet, even in the depths of sorrow, Judy will forever remain in my memory a woman who could and did delight in slivers of joy, and in so doing bring joy to others.
May she rest in peace, and may you enjoy the warmth of her memories forever more.
