FORDHAM ROBERT BLOW

DECEMBER 13, 1947 – DECEMBER 5, 2017

Peacefully, at St Michael’s Hospital, on Tuesday, December 5, 2017, with family at his side, loving wife Linda Catherine (Greenaway), and cherished son, David Rogers, sadly announce the passing of husband and father Fordham Robert Blow.  The family wishes to express heartfelt thanks for the wonderful care and comfort provided by staff and DR’s at this difficult time.

Ford was predeceased by his parents, Harold and Helen (nee Ferguson) and brother David, of Cobourg, ON.  He will also be greatly missed by his sister Brenda and her husband, Tim Robinson, and their children Zachary, Lucas, Megan, and Nicolas.  Ford retired in April 2012, as Vice President of Business Development at Cunningham Lindsey (formerly Morden & Helwig).  His 43 years of service made him the longest standing Canadian employee; he served as a mentor for many colleagues and will be remembered for his contribution to the insurance claims management industry.

Ford loved his time with family and friends at their cottage in the Kawarthas; often found on the golf course, immersed in a good book, or watching his beloved sports teams.

The family will receive friends at the Humphrey Funeral Home A.W. Miles – Newbigging Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 10th.  A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday, December 11th at 1:00 p.m. with a reception to follow the service in the Rosedale and Leaside Rooms.  In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto would be appreciated by the family.  Condolences, photographs and memories may be forwarded through www.humphreymilesnewbigging.com.
