I was so saddened to see this announcement in the paper. I'd known Ford for many years and always enjoyed working with him on claims management. We worked in the same building for a few year (70 University) so would bump into him from time to time. I recall he took myself and another colleague golfing in Vancouver one time, when we were all attending a conference together. Some good memories of a good man. Very sorry for your loss.

Linda and Family, I extend my sincere sympathies to you and your family. At the Ontario Risk and Insurance Management luncheon on Thursday in Toronto, Tina Gardiner, President of ORIMS, set a table at the front of the room for colleagues lost in 2017 and offered a moment of silence in memory of Ford and others. 748 industry professionals shared a moment of memories of Ford. I can't think of a more fitting tribute to this gentleman of the industry. He will be missed.

Dear Linda, You may not remember me, but we were friends at Clinton and you later visited me and our family in Burford several times. I've often recalled the fun and laughter we shared. My condolences to all of Ford's family and his many friends . I worked with Ford for many years both in Toronto and From Halifax. It was always an adventure. In Toronto H.O. Our offices were side by side for a period and his love of family was very clear. He will be greatly missed. Nick Macdonald

I was fortunate enough to have enjoyed many years working with (and sometimes against) Ford. He was always a gentleman and a credit to his firm and the industry in general. Linda My condolences on the passing of Ford. He was a great friend and we shared many laughs and good times over the years. Every time we were in contact no matter how many months or years had gone by the conversation seemed to easily pick up and get rekindled adding to the fond memory bank. I know his passing will leave a big vacant spot in the hearts of all those who knew him and enjoyed the pleasure of his company. David I have never met you and but wanted to extend my sympathy on the passing of your dad. I was also honored and happy to have called him a friend. We enjoyed many good times and memories together. Hopefully some day I will get the opportunity to meet you share some of those stories. Brenda Very sorry to hear of the passing of your big brother. We shared some great history together as you are probably aware of some of those times. My condolences.

Ford will always be in the hearts and mind of so many of us who shared in his life. I will miss his many stories and so many laughs we have shared over the years. He was a great colleague, golf partner and friend and so much larger in life than his frame. My heart goes out to his family especially Linda and David.
