Obituary of Diane Scovell

DIANE SCOVELL

Surrounded by her family on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre hospital in Toronto, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Diane was born June 19, 1963 in London, Ontario to Sheila (nee Malley) and Ken Scovell of Toronto. She will be remembered by those who love her for her wicked sense of humour, her ability to laugh at the absurdity of life, her iron will, and her fierce love for her three amazing children, Kenna (19), Elizabeth (17) and Bryan (14) as well as Henry the cat (9), who guarded over her bed.

The family would like to thank the staffs of both Princess Margaret Hospital and Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre who supported her in this fight.

The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES – NEWBIGGING CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 10th. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 11th, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the CHURCH OF THE TRANSFIGURATION, 111 Manor Road East, Toronto, followed by a reception at the Granite Club, 2350 Bayview Avenue, Toronto.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages those who wish to remember Diane to donate to the Immunotherapy Program at the Princess Margaret Hospital.  Condolences, photographs and memories may be forwarded through www.humphreymilesnewbigging.com.
