I am remembering Shirley and Al as great friends of my mother's when they were neighbours at 55 Erskine Avenue and when Shirley was a regular customer at The Patricia White Shoppe where my amazing mom, Betty McConvey, was the manager. I always thought of Shirley as a lovely lady, very stylish and with a terrific personality. She was obviously an accomplished banker whom my mother admired very much, as did I. We are very saddened to hear about the passing of our dear family friend, Shirley. I have known Shirley for over 60 years and she was a great positive influence in my life. She was strong, intelligent, funny and witty. She always had a smile for you and a word of wisdom. I will miss her greatly. My heartfelt condolences go out to her family.
