Mrs. Reeve, Mark, and Brian and your families,
I was speaking with my Dad and was very sorry to hear the news. I certainly remember some of the fun times my parents had with yours, and in particular one new years trip in Florida.
My sympathies to all of you - tough to lose a husband, a parent , a grandfather.....I hope you have many wonderful memories.

I was really sad to hear Uncle Jim passed away when I talked to Aunt Doris the Monday morning after he died. My thoughts go out to Aunt Doris, Brian, Mark and Uncle Peter.
Over the last twenty years I was lucky to be invited over for lunch every two or three months. Uncle Jim and I would start with a beer and then have the soup and sandwiches Aunt Doris would leave for us before she went off to play bridge.
Uncle Jim always had a very inquisitive and open mind, particularly about meditation and philosophy and psychology, areas of interest that we shared. Since I was always taking courses or reading books about philosophy, and more recently physics, we would discuss some of the ideas I was learning.
Uncle Jim also wanted me to do some sort of internet counselling business utilizing philosophical and psychological concepts, but I could never see how the profit could be made. At one point Uncle Jim had me order some LED glasses that were supposed to relax the wearer using pulsing, coloured lights. When they arrived I tried them but didn't like the effect. Uncle Jim suggested we put them on Aunt Doris, and it's possible she's been a little more mellow ever since...
Anyway, the last time I saw Uncle Jim was when I had lunch with him and Aunt Doris a couple years ago at their retirement residence. Since then we've talked on the phone every two or three weeks. Whenever I'd phone he'd greet me with a friendly "How you doing, man!" He never let his health issues take away his interest in what I was doing.
I miss him.
