My sincere condolences at the passing of a fixture on Brentwood Road. I remember moving in the summer of '66 to be greeted my a massive sandpile across the street on the driveway of 141 Brentwood Road. As a six-year old I thought I was in heaven!
The LeBlancs lasted long enough to see a parade of subsequent owners, but it always remained the MacKinnon house, surviving a volley of broken (and repaired) basement windows on the north side -- a result of countless pick-up baseball games on a street with an inexhaustible supply of children.
Rest in peace,
Kevin

Dear Peter, Scott and Katie,
The LeBlancs are so sorry to hear that you have lost both of your dear parents, one right after the other. Please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.
We were neighbours way back in the 60's and 70's on Brentwood Road in Beaurepaire, playing in everyone's front yard, back yard, driveway and even in the middle of the road, right up until the street lights came on to tell us it was time to finally go home. We went to every birthday party, slumber party, tea party and puppet show all the way up and down the street. Scott and I even plotted to run away together when we were 5 years old -- we actually had brown paper grocery bags to pack our most precious belongings (marbles and packs of bubble gum), but somehow we missed the midnight rendezvous. It's probably for the best that we stayed where we belonged.
It was a great time and place to grow up, and we were all blessed to have loving parents who let us go out to explore the world on our own (at least as far as the big rock on Chester or to the Beaurepaire Pool and back).
Our parents stayed in touch over the years, and I was always happy to hear (through my own Dad) about who had gotten married, had kids, and moved from here to there. I had the pleasure of speaking to your lovely Dad just a few years ago. Bob was a true gentleman, and Janet a lady of the first order. They were always sincere friends to their neighbours, even though it had been decades since they lived near one another.
Sincere condolences,
Joanne LeBlanc

I had the pleasure of flying with Bob many times on the Viscount aircraft after being hired in 1958 .
Bob was a true gentleman and role model for us ' newbies ' to TCA. He had a great sense of humor
and his competence, as a pilot, was obvious to all who worked with him.
I hope that the good memories of your Mom and Dad bring a smile to your face.
