Oh, what a lovely man he was. As his obituary says, a gentle giant, with a giant heart. A man of great humour, and warmth, and integrity. How he adored his family. I knew him growing up in the Laurentians, and seeing him and his dear Sonia in Toronto. My heart goes out to the whole family. They are testaments to his love.

Dear Sonia,
Dennis and I are very saddened by the news. We enjoyed Earle's company for several years at the Toronto Hunt and I was pleased to be Earle's bridge partner during that time.
We wish you and your family comfort and peace throughout this difficult time.
Sincerely,
Gladys & Dennis

It is only two years ago that I first met Earle, at the gentlemen's bridge tables at The Hunt.
I immediately liked him, and over the course of a just a few dozen Thursday lunch and bridge sessions, I felt like we had been friends for many years.
He was a fine gentleman, and I will miss him.
Please accept my sincere condolences.
