Obituary of Roy L. Sakaguchi

SAKAGUCHI, Ph.D., P.Eng., Roy Leonard September 20, 1941 – March 13, 2017 Passed away peacefully at St. Michael’s Hospital, with his wife by his side. Beloved husband of Etsumi. Beloved cousin of Sr. Louise Noriko Takaoka in Japan. Born in Japan to Arthur and Ellen Sakaguchi. At age 15, he moved to Canada with his parents. He joined Ontario Power Generation (formerly Ontario Hydro) in 1975 and took early retirement in 2003. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES – NEWBIGGING CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 15th. A funeral mass will be held in OUR LADY OF PERPETUAL HELP CHURCH, 78 Clifton Road (on St. Clair. Avenue East, just west of Mt. Pleasant Road) at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
