Scott, Angie, Sandy and Kathy,
We have so enjoyed time with your parents through our mutual affection for the historic Christ Church Windermere, The Windermere Golf and Country Club, and more recently through shared Probus activities and events. Rick also reminded me that he knew Duane years ago as they both were IBMers.
They have a special place in our hearts and we hope you and your families find comfort from knowing how highly we regarded Duane and Tim.
Blessings to you and your family at this sad time.

Angie and Jim, Scott and Shawna, Sandy and Kris and Kathy and Chris and families,,
Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. We are so saddened by your wonderful dad leaving us. We will miss him so much. We've been reminiscing about Duaneisms and to think we're never again to hear "Have I told you this one" .
We are sorry that we will not be able to attend the funeral to-morrow as we are in Florida. Angie I will let you know when we are back so that we can make arrangements to get to-gether with Kathy and whoever else would like to join us.
Love, Dick and Beth.

Scott, I appreciated your taking the time to call on Monday it was most kind of you. I was so shocked when you called; I was expecting to hear your dad’s cheerful voice on the line. He and I talked last week and were trying to get together for lunch – that lunch will now have to take place at a different time and venue for us both. Rosalind and I considered it a privilege to be in Duane and Tim’s company; always a most enjoyable experience and we were always the better for it. It never failed that your mother and father would ask about our family and how everyone was doing despite their own difficulties. Their thoughtfulness and kindness will long be remembered by many. We wish to convey our profound condolences to you Scott, Angie, Sandy, Cathy and the entire Wills family on the passing of your dad. Both your parents were very special indeed; they will be sorely missed by many friends at Christ Church Windermere and elsewhere. Peace be with you and your family at this difficult time.

Duane and I were IBM sales reps together in the Toronto uptown office and later worked together again in Montreal where I was branch manager and Duane marketing manager.
What exciting and challengiing times they were! We got to Know Tim very well then and enjoyed them as a couple tremendously.
Both your parents were truly one of a kind people with great character and a sense of humour that was second to none.
They will be missed.
Our condolences to your family

Angie, Kathy, Sandy and Scott,
John and I were very saddened to hear of Duane's passing. Although we haven't seen him too often recently, we loved him and will miss his laughter and the twinkle in his eye. The world is certainly a sadder place without your Mum and Dad as they were both such kind and generous people who brought so much joy and laughter to so many others.
There is comfort in knowing that they are now together, hatching fun and adventure for the rest of us to enjoy when we get there.

Duane was a truly wonderful man! Such a brilliant smile, infectious enthusiasm and passion for life...I will always remember when we coincidentally bought his good friends' home and how, after congratulating me, he casually enquired if they had told me about the problems with the basement?! At which point he started to laugh ... he was such a joker and loved a good laugh. To his fabulous clan we hope your wonderful memories will help you through this difficult time. We love you all so much, Lee , Jeff and the Giles-Hayes family.

We are deeply sadden to hear of the loss of our dear friend Duane. We loved and adored him for his smile, his sence of humour, his kind heart, his sence of fun, his story telling and his loving nature. We have so many wonderful memories and pictures that we will hold dear to our hearts forever.
My dad (Ron) and mom (Bev) introduced Duane & Tim 64 years ago and what a special family they created.
We feel blessed to have had known Duane and enjoyed his company. A devoted life long friend. My dad (Ron) had a beer with Duane just a few weeks ago. A cherished visit.
Angie, Scott, Sandy & Scott our thoughts and prayers are with you during this very difficult time.
Lots of love xo

Sometimes, I would sit behind or in front of Tim and Duane at Christ Church Windermere. Duane had the most wonderful rich singing voice, and I would find myself lost listening to his voice, rather than singing myself.
They were a lovely couple, both of them will be missed. I send you my condolences
sincerely Ruth Wagner.

Our love and condolences are extended to Duane's attentive Family.
Two outstanding features of Duane's "larger than life" personality.
His complete devotion to "Tim" and the outstanding care and love he extended to her during her lengthy illness. He never gave up.
His zest for creating fun for his friends, i.e.--"The Winter Olympics" . A memorable event
he organized at a Lake Of Bays cottage for The Wellesley Nurses.- Cross Country Skiing to
the Out-House,---Mixed-Up Hockey on the Lake,-- Figure Skating on Hockey Skates (a judged competition)-- A Biathalon with bows and arrows,(Out -House the target ! )--
Extreme Skating,(jumps, obstacles obstructions). Yes ,--adult beverages were involved !
Thank you Duane for sharing a life well lived.
