Penny came to the Faculty of Music, University of Toronto, as secretary to Dean Boyd Neel, and later was my secretary for several years. She was always helpful and efficient. I think she enjoyed her years with the Faculty, especially with her love of opera. In retirement, she was a valued volunteer with the Canadian Opera Company. I send my sincere sympathies to her family. Regrettably I am unable to attend the gathering for her next Thursday, but will be thinking of you as you remember her long, useful, and eventful life.
