I will always think of Mrs. McCall as being kind, caring and soft-spoken throughout my life. She would ask after my mother and what was new with me whenever I stopped by to call on Hugh. I was especially touched by her thoughtfulness in offering me her resources & learning materials when I started teaching. We would compare classroom stories, and she always had encouraging words.
