Obituary of Anne Marie Mercedes Gutierrez

<p><strong>Anne Marie Gutierrez</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Surrounded by her loving family, she passed away in Toronto at 66 years of age.&nbsp; Beloved mother of Nick and Lisa (Steve Ronan), daughter of the late George and Anne; dear sister to Rick (Denise), George (Susan), Christine (Pat); aunt to David (Adrianne), Marc (Jenny), Martine (Brad), Ryan, John and Danielle; sister-in-law to Olga and all her siblings and their spouses.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Born in Paris, France, Anne Marie grew up in Toronto and was educated at U of T (BA), Western University (LLB) and Osgoode (LLM). During her legal career, she worked in several government ministries, including Health and Social Services, Transportation and as Director of Natural Resources.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Anne Marie loved her family and all of her amazing friends, especially get-togethers, holidays and special occasions. Active with community, church and non-profit organizations, including fundraising and volunteering.&nbsp; She also enjoyed travel, adventure and had a special love for nature and Canada.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Many, many thanks go to Anne Marie&rsquo;s wonderful friends who provided so much kindness and support during her illness. Thanks to Dr. P Barreca, Elham and Dr. S Buchman, Dr. L Hicks, L. Jodoin (St. Mike&rsquo;s), Dr. S Trudel (PMH) and their respective teams.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Visitation at Humphrey Funeral Home at 4-6 pm and 7-9 pm on Wednesday, January 4^th.
