Obituary of Gail Louise Speers

<p><strong>GAIL LOUISE SPEERS</strong></p> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p>On Wednesday, December 21, 2016 Gail left us following 13 years of living with Stage IV Breast Cancer.  She fought with determination, grace, dignity and hope.  Gail is survived by her loving parents, Bill and Lorraine.  She will be missed by her cherished “puppy” ZuZu and joins her cats Perky, Minkey and Raffles in the great beyond.  She will be held dear in the hearts of her many cousins and friends from coast to coast.  Gail is a graduate of McGill (Commerce) and UofT (MBA).  Her cancer forced her to take early retirement from her marketing career enabling her to pursue her interest in travelling, art history, drawing and water colour painting and in recent years, beading and jewelry making.  One creative effort always led to another.  She will be remembered for being the catalyst for many great events, parties, and adventures and for encouraging others to pursue their dreams.  Gail was overwhelmed by the care, compassion and dedication of those working in the field of Oncology and thanks all those who assisted her along the way. Including North York General Hospital, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and Dr. M. Chambers.  Gail and her parents are grateful for the support provided by her many friends and relatives, especially Shelley.</p> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p>The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES – NEWBIGGING CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. January 4, 2017, followed by a remembrance in the chapel at 3:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wellspring Sunnybrook Cancer Support Centre, Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation or the charity of your choice. </p>
