We miss you Gail. You were a great friend and neighbor. We will always remember the dinner parties, the long discussions about this and that, the chance encounters on Rose Park, the dogs playing together... Thank you for allowing us into your life and heart. Bill and Lorraine, your daughter was an extraordinary person. Her calm, quiet ways hid a wellspring of strength and courage. She was and remains a testament to the love you gave her. You were the best parents she could possibly have had. Your unwavering dedication, generosity and support for your daughter are an inspiration for us all. Shelley, we know that Gail’s passing is a great loss for you because true friends are rare and far between. You were such a friend to Gail. The sister she did not have. The confident, the soulmate, the companion… May all the good times you had together stay with you for many years to come. Gail lives forever in the collective hearts of all the people she touched with her strength, her softness, her art and her love. A great soul was among us.

My sincerest condolences are extended to Gail's family. Gail was a feisty member of a book club where I met her acquaintance. She was a leader of the pack - funny, intelligent, organized and so creative. Gail made us laugh and we marvelled at her bravery and zest for life. She will be sorely missed by her friends in the group.
