Obituary of Beverley Westcott
WESTCOTT, Beverley B.
Loving husband of the late Pamela. Son of the late Walter and Francis Westcott. Proud father of Mark (Rosemary), and Gregg (Biz). Devoted grandfather to Andrew, Karen (Fernando) Ferreira, Jennifer, Paige, Eric, and Jayne (Marc) Gervais. Uncle to John, Andrew, Melanie, Diana McPherson, and Doug (Sally) McPherson. Brother to the late Stan Westcott, Jack (Denise) Westcott. Retired senior executive of the Hudson Bay Co., long time executive with the T. Eaton Co., and former President of Stedman’s. Past President and life member of both the Badminton and Racquet Club and the Toronto Golf Club. Former Warden of St. Paul’s Church, Bloor Street. Former Canadian Badminton Champion and three-time member of Canada’s Thomas Cup team. Represented Canada in the All England Badminton Championship and World Scottish Badminton Championship and other international events. Past President of the Toronto and District Badminton Association and Ontario Badminton Association. Former member of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club, St. Andrew’s. Former Director of Participation House. Served in Royal Canadian Artillery in WWII. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES – NEWBIGGING CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 13th. Service in ST. PAUL’S ANGLICAN CHURCH, on Wednesday, December 14th at 11:00 a.m. Donations to the Applewood Centre for Adult Learning via Canada Helps or to St. Paul’s Anglican Church Heritage Fund.
