Bev was a Gentleman. I knew him through the Toronto Golf Club, where, for some reason he was always happy to see me. This was a surprise sometimes because he was one of the Big Guys around the Club and I was just Harry Godfrey's kid. But it meant a lot to me to be recognized by anyone let alone Bev when I became a member. I will miss seeing his smiling face in the Osler Room. Happy trails, Bev. I hope there's a golf course where you are headed - and a badminton court.
