I knew Dorothy through Northlea United Church and will remember her fondly as someone who had a quiet but strong presence. Dorothy always had a smile. A friend and I were on a commitee once with Dorothy and her great friend Eileen Thompson .And the consummate gentleman Lorie Blazer was on it too. We were there at the beginning of their 'courtship'. to Dorothy's family: I learned so much more about Dorothy in your wonderful obituary remembrance. Thank you. I was a part of the church committee where Dorothy and Lorie met and I feel part of fostering that union. We met weekly at various locations, often Lorie's condo fueled by Wally's Werther candies, for several months. You can imagine how happy I was when I met Lorrie at Metro where he was buying provisions for a picnic lunch for he and Dorothy for a trip to Stratford. The rest is history. Dorothy was a big part of Northlea Church and the North Leaside community. It was a pleasure to know her. My sincere sympathy to you. Mary Jane McIntyre
