Our sincere condolences to the Shick family. We were first introduced to Mr. & Mrs. Shick at our parent's 35th wedding anniversary in 1978. Lenore and Bud was so excited for the family to meet their new friends. We could not have asked for more gracious hosts for our 1984 pre-wedding party and Mr. Shick was a wonderful videographer on our wedding day. Whether it was golf, bridge or financial business, Mr. Shick was always so warm and accommodating. His smile would light up the room. We would like to think our parents are welcoming their dear friend to their heavenly bridge table.

Melodie, I wish to thank you for informing us of Larry's passing. Dave Wightman had kept Mary and me in the loop these past months of his condition. Please convey to Daphne and your family our sincere condolences. Larry and I went through the military college system, pilot training and McGill engineering together. Our paths seldom crossed again in later life, but to this day we have on our mantel a vase given to us from your parents as a wedding gift - always a reminder of my friend Larry. Dear Daphne and family, We were very sorry to hear about Larry. I have many fond memories of working under Larry's supervision. When I joined IBM in the early 1960's he was my very first manager. He epitomized to me what IBM was all about in those days - young, enthusiastic, good looking,professional and always dressed in a perfectly fitting dark suit with white shirt and striped tie! A great role model for a new recruit such as I. I'm sure you and your family have many fond memories to help sustain you in this sad and difficult time. Larry was one of my classmates and my "lab partner" in Chemistry classes at the Royal Military College over 60 years ago. Larry was a prince of a man. A gentleman. A good man. A super guy. We were all so delighted that Daphne and Larry were able to be with us for our memorable Class Reunion at RMC in in Kingston in the Fall of 2014 at which time we celebrated our 60th Anniversary of our Graduation from RMC. To Daphne and family: Larry and I were fellow students in chemical engineering at R.M.C. for our last 2 years-the fall of 1952 to graduation in the spring of 1954. Unfortunately, our paths did not cross too often in the 62 years since then but I remember working very hard to try to catch up to his academic performance and also sharing a couple of 'adventures' with Larry and classmate, Alick Marshall. Several decades ago, while I was a Supervisor at Price Waterhouse Associates, I also worked for Larry as his assistant and I can say that he was one of the best bosses I ever had. He really did have a twinkle in his eye and in later years when I bumped into him on the street, he always greeted me with a big, beaming smile.
